Eurimac, which is a joint venture company, is the result of the strategic collaboration between Group Euricom S.p.a., an Italian pasta-flour-rice group of industries, and the well-known MAKBEL S.A. industry, a Greek pasta company, which has been active in both Greece and Europe since 1939.

Ten more rice factories belong to Group EURICOM:
(in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Greece). Two mills of soft and hard wheat in Italy.

The total turnover of the group came to 650 million euros in 2007.

EURIMAC was founded in May 1996 in the industrial area of Kilkis and employs specially trained personnel that has a long experience in the production of pasta.

The company expertises in the production of private-label products and has invested more than 25 million euros for the construction of a pasta factory of the latest technology, applying the highest hygiene and quality specifications with the possibility to produce more than 72.000 tons of pasta every year.

This production capability can increase even more, given the fact that there is space for the installation of extra production lines. Eurimac has made important investments for the complete automatisation of the packing and storage sectors for the various types of pasta it produces.

An investment of 6 million euros has been completed next to the pasta factory and the mills of hard wheat production since the end of 2006, that resulted in the improvement of the production and quality costs.
After the completion of the construction and the silo for the storage of the hard wheat, with a storage capacity of 20000 tons in July 2008, Eurimac is now 100% vertical.

The total production-packing-storage procedure is certified with the most established quality and safety systems of the food sector, such as EN ISO 9001:2000, EN ISO 22000:2005 & BRC and establishes EURIMAC as one of the most remarkable companies of its kind worldwide.

The export of pasta and wheat groats in more than 30 countries on all 5 continents is one of the main enterprises of the company, beyond the specialisation in producing PRIVATE LABEL products.
